Hi Everyone! I just came from a vacation and thought that I should review the product I recently used to protect my skin from harmful rays of the sun. Today, we’re going to review Celeteque Demoscience Sun Care Matte Moisturizer SPF 30 manufactured by Unilab.
Picture of the product above.
What is it?
Celeteque Demoscience Sun Care Matte Moisturizer SPF 30 is a matte moisturizer with a broad spectrum protection for UVA & UVB protection.
Where to buy and How much?
250 php for 50 ml. You can buy it in most drugstores in the Philippines.
What’s in it?
Water, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Steareth-2, Titanium Dioxide, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, C12-15 Alkyl Lactate, Dimethicone, Steareth-21, Octocrylene, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Triethanolamine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Farnesol, Linalool, Tetrasodium EDTA
What’s good about it?
It is AFFORDABLE! I also like the squeeze tube as it is very convenient and travel friendly.
What’s not so good about it?
This product is a hybrid of physical and chemical sunscreen which is a bit irritating when put near the eye area. This product also says it is a moisturizer but sadly, this isn’t moisturizing enough. This product also contains Parabens which can be an issue for some people (I don’t have any issues with Parabens though)
How to use?
Slather a generous amount 20 minutes before exposing yourself to the sun.
Does it work?
It does work protecting the skin as this is a broad spectrum sunscreen. The SPF 30 in this product protects at least 96% of harmful UV rays which can cause premature aging.(1) Just make sure you reapply every 2-3 hours to make sure that protection stays top notch. The matte claim is totally BS though as it isn’t matte at all. It made my face oil slick which doesn’t look good and take note, I have dry and dehydrated skin. Aside from that, this moisturizer + sunscreen leaves a white cast as it contains titanium dioxide.
Recommend / Repurchase?
I recommend this if you’re looking for an affordable sunscreen / sunblock but I think it will not work for some people with oily skin types. I haven’t tried using it under make up but I think this will not look good as well as it leaves a white cast. The finish is also not elegant compared to Biore or Neutrogena’s sunscreen. Sadly, I won’t repurchase this product. This will stay on my body after putting it on my face just once LOL.
